Race Results 2010
The heat did not keep away 18 brave souls in the first ever Black’s Grove River Crossing mountain bike race at Black’s Grove Park just outside of Wadena, MN. The nearly 12 mile course of mostly difficult single-track did not seem to slow Fergus Fall’s David Jensen from taking top honors with a blistering 1:16:58 while Corey Cogan-Cisek flew through the course posting a 1:30:15 as the top female. There were also 4 participants in the ride through the park and 7 local kid race participants. Racers were impressed with the difficulty of the course, something not expected in the Wadena area.
The trail which is open to the public consists of nearly 90% single-track through the wooded Wadena City Park and rides over the Oak Creek multiple times hence the race name River Crossings. Recently added to the trail were 32 donated markers, labeled 1-32, to help riders navigate their way. If ever in the Wadena area come enjoy the trails that Black’s Grove Park.
